SURPRISE!

Oh I am so naughty! Shh...don't tell Blomma - but I am sneaking in here for a post or two...Remember me? Your ol' pal, Peg? I popped in for a couple of weeks awhile ago and although I had permission to do so then...this time, I'm...what do you call it in blog-talk? I'm hacking? No...that's not it...well whatever it's called...I'm posting without permission! Shame. Shame. Shame...but also HOORAY!

I don't even know what today is...let's see, Thursday - Green. Oh dear. Okay. Pretend it's Monday - Home.  I guess when you break-in to a blog you can do this kind of thing...I guess.

So, Monday - Home - Postertext!

'We create art that harmonizes literature with imagery in the form of beautiful, elegant posters.' I couldn't say it better - although are posters elegant? Hmm...anyway, Postertext takes memorable scenes from classic tales and expresses it with creative style. And maybe to make the whole thing slightly more stylish...wear one of these so you can read the teeny-teeny-teeny text.  Just imagine having a dinner party where everyone starts bragging about all of the books they've read - you can just simply point to your wall and say 'I'm pretty sure I'm smarter than you'.

EDWIN, THE QUIET ELEPHANT

Shameless promotion here.... so a few weeks ago I finally finished writing and illustrating a book for my niece's second birthday.  She has a fascination for elephants and the sound that they make.  So I came up with a story about an elephant, Edwin, who can't make the elephant sound.  He goes on a journey to find his sound and along the way hears the sounds of all his animals friends.  He tries to make their sounds to no avail.  It isn't until Edwin falls asleep that he finds his voice in his dreams, a symphony of the most beautiful sounds.  

I printed the book on Blurb (a FANTASTIC site!!!) and I'm humbled to find that it was chosen as a "staff pick".  You are welcome to purchase a copy (I don't make a dime off it) but it's a cute story nonetheless.  Who knows.... maybe one day it will fall into the hands of someone who thinks it might be worth more.  

Okay, I'm done.... I feel bad I just talked about myself.
