Rejuvenation is the best source for time period lighting, hardware and house parts. They have an amazing design gallery that let's you scroll through hundreds of rooms from kitchens to bathrooms to bedrooms and every nook and cranny in between. Supermarket is a great place to find INDIE designers.... like Romi Ceramics. All these pieces are designed by a ceramic artist out of Long Island City, NY. They are handmade using a porcelain slip-casting technique. The folded vases are exquisite and the other vessels are equally beautiful in their simplicity.

Felt is renewable, recyclable and reusable which makes it the perfect GREEN material. The Etsy shop Feltplanet uses 100% Virgin Merino Wool to create their felt wares. The coasters, which are SUPER thick are a steal at $15-$16 per set of 4. I have purchased felt coasters from some mainstream retailers and paid over $30 for a set... I'm having buyer's remorse. Feltplanet's coasters come in 23 different colors and you even have a few shapes to choose from. An ideal hostess gift.
Toobydoo is a new childrenswear lifestyle design label based out of New York. The clothing is meant for the "young explorer". The designs are urban, sophisticated yet playful and comfortable. You can find them in select boutiques or you can shop online. Think Crewcuts meets Brook Brothers kids with a touch of Mini Boden. The shape assortments are organic, geometric, or modern and all come in a wonderful color palette. Warning... there may be some profanity.... but it's funny. Offensive + Delightful is a new line of greeting cards that states things very bluntly. Like "Holy Sh*t, You're Having a Baby". Okay, may not be for everyone but if you've got a wise cracker in the bunch, you'll find the perfect greeting at Offensive + Delightful. By the way, I chose the tame ones for the post.
