SATURDAY - HOLIDAY - SHUTTERFLY

I am posting this early because before you know it, Christmas will be here.  Get your camera and snap a few pictures of your kids, pets, family etc... Go to Shutterfly and pick out your favorite holiday card or photo Christmas card (there are literally hundreds to choose from).  Order them up and you will be way ahead of the game.  I know there are a ton of photo card sites out there but I have had great luck with Shutterfly.  I have done calendars, photo books and several photo cards (featuring none other than my black lab of course).  The quality is great, prices are fair and their turnaround time is quite impressive.  I haven't selected mine yet as there are too many I like... Another great idea is the photo book.  Every year I give my parents a book that chronicles our past year up at the lake in Wisconsin and it's always a hit.  I'm also thinking a photo mug would be the prefect stocking stuffer.  Get cracking people!

WEDNESDAY - PETS - KISS MY MUTT

SATURDAY - CRAFT - HOW ABOUT ORANGE

For some reason, I am feeling so crafty lately.  Perhaps its the change of weather or the holidays looming but I've got a hankering to work with my hands.  I found the blog of Jessica Jones, called How About Orange, and she has a boatload of DIY tutorials.  How to etch glass, make cork coasters, pillow covers, decorative packaging, recycled flowers, transferring images to fabric.... the list is endless.  Check out her blog for some wonderful step by step instructions.

WEDNESDAY - KIDS - THE LAND OF NOD

The Land of Nod, a children's furniture, accessories and toy company has done a wonderful thing.  They have teamed up with No Kid Hungry, an organization dedicated to bringing awareness, and most importantly, an end to childhood hunger.  You can make a donation right on their site or you can purchase one of a bunch of food related products and a portion of the proceeds will go to No Kid Hungry.  Check it out to learn more.

This season for hostess gifts is upon us.  There is no better place for gifts than Crate and Barrel.  Whether it be a tea towel, coffee mug, gourmet food or candy, a fun kitchen gadget or a little decorative accessory... I can't believe I am going to give up my secret but tis the season for sharing!  I have found the ultimate source for baker's twine.  This is the best stuff for wrapping up packages and using for gift tags or bags... the uses are endless.  If you go to craft stores, it usually costs about $5 for only 30 or so yards. At WeSellCoffee.com, you can get 3,400 yards for $8.95.  It will last a lifetime!  Colors available are brown, green, red, baby blue, white etc.... There, the secret is out!

FRIDAY - WEAR - SVEN CLOGS

Perhaps it's my Swedish roots that have drawn me to Sven clogs.  Hard to believe that walking on a wooden sole can be comfortable but word is they are!  And great arch support.  Available at Art Effect in all sorts of custom patent, metallic, nubuck and leather color options.
