MONDAY - HOME - ROWAN'S ROOM
I have been looking for a unique wood framed mirror for my hallway for months and I think I have found the perfect source.... Rowan's Room on Etsy sells mirrors and chalkboard that are framed in recycled wood from antique cabinets and old antique scraps. Each piece is unique but I love the simplicity. The decorative ribbon for hanging is a perfect touch. Prices are reasonable considering these are all handmade and use antique wood.

Summer is coming to an end.... old man winter is right around the corner but that doesn't mean that we can't stock up for next year! Garden Artisans has a beautiful selection of garden decor, tools, planters and containers. In hindsight, I could have used the trug basket for my tomato harvesting! (I could hardly keep up!) So start planning for next year because as we all know, life goes by so fast.

I haven't been this excited in a find since.... well... I haven't been this excited before EVER!!!!! From Sthlm (pronounced From Stockholm) is a blog and a shop about emerging Swedish designers. Every month, they feature a new designer and a selection of their products in limited quantities for 30 days. More often than not, this is our first opportunity to purchase from these designers in the US. This month's featured designer is Lotta Odelius and previous features have included Bengt & Lotta, Tina Backman, Maria Holmer Dahlgren, Bantie and Fuldesign. SATURDAY - OUTDOOR - MADSEN CYCLES
An urban utility bicycle. That's how Madsen Cycles describes their bikes. The prototype started as a bike with a wheel barrow attached to the front to haul around six kids... needless to say, the design has come a long way. There are two different models... one with a bucket to haul your cargo (kids included.... there is a removable seat and two seat belts) and one with a reinforced steel rack. The purpose is based on the simple concept that a bike should do more. Now you can bike your kids to soccer practice, pick up groceries or haul your tools from one project to another. The bikes are tested to haul up to 600 lbs. Rugged yet cute in pale blue, cream or black.
