I never would have guessed that cork would be good for a cutting board but according to re-modern, it is durable, resistant to wear and impermeable to liquids. Made from sustainably harvested cork, (which apparently is the outer bark and removal does not damage the actual tree). Cork is anti-fungal and anti-microbial and it will even prolong the sharp edge of a knife. Not bad for $20. Just don't put it in the dishwasher.
