First of all, I have to say that I am a new fan of the vintage Etsy section... I don't know why I never really gave it more of a chance. In my search for an old school nut grinder, I ran across the shop of Coucou Madame... an avid collection of German porcelain from the 50's, 60's and 70's. I immediately fell in low with every single item in the shop, especially the Thomas Dot Dish.

THURSDAY - GREEN - PLATES WITH PURPOSE
This is such a wonderful project.... The Riverside Design Group has created a series of recycled glass plates that benefit different organizations. Purchase one of the many designs and 15% the proceeds will go to an organization (based on the design) such as AIDS Task Force, CASA, National Autism Association, the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Forbes Hospice... and the list goes on and on. What a way to support a cause, consume recycled glass and get a beautiful serving piece. That's a win, win, win situation.

You can actually get them in two different sizes... one for your standard spices and another with larger openings for coarse spices and seasonings. The weight in the bottom allows them to slightly wobble but they will never tip and spill. Get them at the Scandinavian Design Center.
